Position Summary
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing strategy, supplier qualification, and compliance-driven procurement across our battery materials and equipment categories. This role is central to building a resilient, cost-effective, and FEOC-compliant supply base that supports both prototype and production-scale operations.
You will drive supplier identification, negotiation, risk management, and compliance alignment while partnering closely with Finance, Quality, and Operations to ensure materials availability and cost transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify U.S. and non-China suppliers for cell materials, components, and equipment.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules to support cost and margin targets.
- Establish supplier scorecards and lead ongoing supplier performance management.
- Ensure FEOC, USMCA, IRA, and NDAA compliance in all sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Quality, and Operations to validate supplier assumptions in financial models.
- Lead risk mitigation strategies including multi-sourcing, inventory buffers, and supply continuity plans.
- Support engineering change processes and assess supply chain impacts across quality, cost, and operations.
- Track KPIs for supplier quality, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
Within 3 Months You Will:
- Build the supplier qualification and localization plan for core materials.
- Launch supplier scorecard framework and risk assessment model.
- Establish sourcing priorities aligned with FEOC and regulatory requirements.
Within 6 Months You Will:
- Complete qualification of priority suppliers for prototype and early production.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing reviews with senior leadership.
- Implement supplier performance dashboards and compliance tracking.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 7–12 years in strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership in battery, automotive, or electronics.
- Deep knowledge of raw materials, supplier qualification, and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with FEOC, USMCA, IRA, and NDAA compliance frameworks.
- Experience with supplier scorecards and risk management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with supply chain planning and project management tools.
