Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Manager to establish and lead EGI’s quality systems as we prepare for early customer deliveries and future certification requirements. This role will build the foundational processes, documentation, and controls needed to support a high-reliability manufacturing environment.
You will own ISO/AS readiness, quality plans, inspection processes, nonconformance systems, and supplier/customer quality interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ISO 9001 / AS9100 implementation and customer documentation readiness.
- Create and maintain quality plans, control plans, and inspection processes.
- Establish nonconformance, corrective action (CAPA), and internal audit systems.
- Develop quality KPIs and reporting dashboards for leadership.
- Interface with suppliers and customers on quality-related issues and requirements.
- Support engineering change processes and ensure quality impacts are assessed.
- Partner with Operations to implement robust in-line and end-of-line inspection systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supplier quality.
Within 3 Months You Will:
- Define the ISO/AS implementation roadmap and documentation structure.
- Stand up initial quality plans and inspection workflows for prototype builds.
- Launch the nonconformance and CAPA tracking system.
Within 6 Months You Will:
- Complete internal audit preparation for ISO/AS readiness.
- Establish supplier quality metrics and review cadence.
- Lead a cross-functional quality performance review with senior leadership.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
- 5–10 years in quality roles within regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, UL, or similar standards.
- Strong understanding of inspection methods, documentation control, and CAPA systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with suppliers and customers on quality matters.
