Role Description
This is a full-time, work from home Forensic Structural Engineer role based in metropolitan Boston, MA. The primary responsibilities include conducting structural failure analysis and preparing comprehensive forensic engineering reports. The role also involves assessing and analyzing structural systems, conducting investigations, preparing recommendations for repairs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex engineering challenges. Additional responsibilities may include client site visits, forensic documentation, adhering to safety standards, and providing expert-level consultation on engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in performing Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering for failure investigations and assessments
- Strong expertise in Civil Engineering principles and their applications to forensic investigations
- Experience with Calculations related to structural integrity and building stability
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain same is required.
- Provides expert testimony in a court of law and/or in depositions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in forensic investigations is a plus, and training will be provided.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required for on-site investigations

Compensation
For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $125,000-$150,000. There is an excellent, structured bonus plan and a comprehensive benefits package.
