The Community Outreach Representative supports enrollment, verifies eligibility with care, and partners with local organizations to make sure every senior, student, and family knows they’re not alone—and that help is available.
As a Community Outreach Representative, you will be an ambassador for access and equality. Through your professional outreach, the Community Outreach Representative helps bridge the digital divide by connecting qualifying individuals with communication services that enable participation in education, healthcare, and the modern economy, all through compassionate engagement.
Key Responsibilities of the Community Outreach Representative
- Promote wireless service programs by supporting neighborhood initiatives that highlight smartphones, affordable plans, and device benefits.
- Coordinate enrollment activities by verifying eligibility, preparing documentation, and ensuring accurate activation of wireless devices.
- Deliver product guidance by clarifying service features, assisting with plan comparisons, and escalating advanced inquiries to technical teams.
- Maintain CRM and reporting systems with detailed records of outreach activity, customer interactions, and enrollment data to strengthen retention.
- Collaborate with retail and outreach teams to align messaging, resolve service challenges, and ensure consistent customer experiences.
- Provide community insights by sharing feedback from outreach efforts to refine strategies, improve engagement, and better serve diverse populations.
Minimum Qualifications of the Community Outreach Representative
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework in communications, public relations, or social work is a plus.
- Experience in sales, retail, customer support, or public engagement—particularly in telecom, nonprofit, or grassroots programs—is considered a strong asset.
- Skilled in building rapport, presenting service options clearly, and adapting messaging to diverse audiences.
