Sr. Staff Engineer
EEC Environmental is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience in the design of civil, process, and/or construction engineering projects. This position will support engineering and project tasks that include site/condition assessment, system and utility design, engineering and operation of systems and equipment (e.g., water/wastewater treatment systems), land development, and other related environmental projects in support of municipal, industrial, and commercial clients.
This exciting opportunity is a growth track position in a team-oriented environment for an individual with an established track record of performing problem solving, creative, and engineering tasks. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work on projects with variable complexity with the desire and ability to support project management and business development endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and scopes of work for construction by utilizing CAD and other software.
- Assist with cost estimating, report preparation and task management, as required by the project manager.
- Perform and check engineering calculations.
- Support the office project work and collaborate with Project Managers and staff to service clients and complete projects on time and on budget.
- Support civil and process engineering design/build and consulting projects.
- Research and recommend solutions to technical problems in accordance with accepted scientific/engineering practices and principles.
- Support business development activities.
- Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Provide effective verbal and written communication to project managers and staff.
· Manage time and staff to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency with Auto CAD and or Civil3D
- Civil engineering undergraduate degree from an accredited university
- California PE/Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred
- of civil engineering experience and industry knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Approximately 20% to 40% travel
Physical Demands:
- Required to sit or stand at an office workstation, sometimes for extended periods of time
- Required to type on a keyboard, and using a mouse or other cursor device while looking at computer screens/monitors, sometimes for extended periods of time

Compensation: $80K - $100K Commensurate with experience
