Bohr Electronics is a leading manufacturer of products and services for the Passenger transit and Freight railroad industries. We have a full-time opening for a new member to our production team in Chattanooga, TN

Job Summary:

An Associate Technician is responsible for the inspection, teardown, and prep of component parts or pieces. They use hand tools and mechanical equipment to prepare new and remanufactured components.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Inspection and tear down of components

· Cleaning, painting, and preparing parts

· Assembly of sub-components

· Sorting, organizing, and stocking inventory

· Documentation of work performed

· Maintaining a clean work environment

· Following general training and in-process guidance provided by senior team members

· Expected to successfully perform work tasks after training with minimal or no rework

· Perform duties as needed cross departmentally

· Ensure all quality processes are followed and executed in accordance to standards

· Support all company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, safety and health regulations and manufacturing practices in providing a safe work environment

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Mechanically inclined

· Excellent communication skills including active listening.

· Superb degree of work ethic and heightened sense of urgency is required.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to write notes quickly and accurately, both on paper and on the computer

Education and Experience:

· Relevant experience working with their hands in a mechanical field.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods standing at a work area.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
