The Enterprise Architecture department is responsible for aligning the organization's technology, capabilities, and data with its strategic business objectives, ensuring agility, efficiency, and scalability. What You'll Do:
- Focus on aligning business processes, goals, and strategies with IT solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.
- Identify opportunities for capability optimization and innovation.
- Design and oversee the architecture of software applications.
- Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to implement architectural designs.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools for application development.
- Establish partnerships with peers in other organizations inside Edward Jones.
- Actively monitor the competitive landscape for new players and participates in industry forums, technical conferences and standards groups as the technical leader for the company
- Design, develop, and deliver architecture solutions for the department in support of Edward Jones’ objectives
- Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, business benefits, or functional requirements
- Improve team processes to reduce toil and increase value delivery
- Represent the department as a part of various efforts to ensure we continue to deliver value, and that other teams and departments understand our architecture and how they can interact with it
What Experience You'll Need:
- Minimum 15 years of experience with financial services business and technology.
- Must be experienced in creating a strategic technology direction, aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans broadly across the organization.
- Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple audiences, including firm-wide business units, senior leaders, associates, and external vendors.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and motivational skills.
- Deep business architecture expertise with broad technical knowledge across architecture disciplines.
- Ideal candidates have experience working in an Agile and Product Management environment.
- Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and objectives. TOGAF knowledge/certification preferred.
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
