What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERIM SECRETARY III - EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM - Limited Term Assignment position at EDUCATIONAL SERVICES?
Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district.
The Interim Secretary III in the Expanded Learning Opportunity Department will:
- Support ELO office with management of ELO Program.
- Perform difficult and varied typing requiring independent judgment and discretion.
- Serve as an aide to a District administrator by performing administrative and technical duties.
- Assist in coordinating a broad range of functions and programs throughout the District.
- Monitor budget of a specialized department.
- Perform other related work as required.
DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:

- LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Follows the 12-Month Employee Calendar for holidays; Limited Term Assignment dates are 1/5/2026 through 4/30/2026
- WORK SITE: La Paloma Elementary School ELOP Office
- WORK SCHEDULE: 8 hours/day (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), 5 days/week
- BENEFITS: Benefits are not offered for this Limited Term Assignment.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; three (3) years of responsible office experience; supplemented by additional training in office organization and secretarial skills, preferably including experience in a school district; type @ 45 net words per minute; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Typing Certificate, dated within the last six (6) months. NO ONLINE TYPING CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED. (Required on or before January 9, 2026). The typing test may be completed in person at our office - 321 Iowa St., Fallbrook CA, 92028.
- REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF):
Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer)
Resume indicating at least three (3) years of responsible office experience in a school district.
Typing Certificate with verification of completion (dated within the last six (6) months) of typing assessment with a corrected net speed of 45 words per minute. NO ONLINE TYPING CERTIFICATES ARE ACCEPTED. (Required on or before January 9, 2026.)
