Under the general direction of the School Success Director, the REACH Program Site Coordinator will plan and carry out the day-to-day operations of each local site. Responsibilities include student recruitment and retention, parent communications, school staff liaison, attendance, coordinating and delivering instructional activities (homework help, intervention, and enrichment), and other daily operational responsibilities.

Salary:
This position pays a flat hourly rate of $36.38. This is a grant funded program with a set hourly rate.

Assignment:
The person in this role will be hired as a temporary employee. We are recruiting for one Site Coordinator for Naselle-Grays River Valley School District (grades K-12) and one Site Coordinator for Wahkiakum School Disitrict (grades K-12). The anticipated work schedule will be up to 22 hours per week during the regular school year (before/after school programming) and up to 30 hours per week during the four-week summer program.

A complete application will include:

  1. Work history going back 10 years 
  2. At least three professional reference's contact information
  3. A Cover Letter expressing interest in the position
  4. A Resume that reflects work experience listed on application
  5. Evidence of a Bachelor's degree or higher (unofficial transcripts or copy of diploma) 


Essential Functions:
  1. Develop student recruitment and retention plans.
  2. Design and develop the site afterschool program with the assistance of the Program Coordinator.
  3. Deliver program curriculum (homework help, intervention, and enrichment).
  4. Coordinate local snacks and transportation.
  5. Work with project and school partners to develop projects, special events, and family activities as described in the grant.
  6. Provide training and leadership for site assistants and volunteers.
  7. Be the liaison between the regular school staff and the REACH program.
  8. Meet with Program Manager weekly.
  9. Participate in program staff meetings including those with the local Advisory Council at least three times annually.
  10. Assist the Program Coordinator with the collection of data.
  11. Participate in program trainings and meetings as requested.
  12. Maintain program records and complete project reports as required.
Other Functions:
  1. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree or higher.
  2. School-based experience working with students, staff, administrators, and parents.
  3. Experience creating reports and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Three to five years of experience as a K-12 certified teacher.
  2. Knowledge of Washington State Learning Standards in English Language Arts and mathematics.
  3. Experience working with at-risk children.
  4. Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, particularly in reading and mathematics.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of social and educational systems and agencies in Klickitat County.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  1. School-based setting.
  2. Regular attendance during scheduled work hours.
  3. Flexible schedule to include some evenings and Saturdays.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
