Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel and provisions of the bargaining unit.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Educational aide certificate.
- Experience working with children
- Ability to interact positively with parents and staff.
- Must be highly qualified according to ESEA requirements.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
Assignments may include library, classroom, or transportation settings and may involve:

- Support student supervision and safety.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA.
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the position.
- Assist the bus driver in maintaining safe student conduct.
- Provide support to students with special needs during transport.
- Complete behavior reports as necessary.
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
- Excellent observation and communication skills
- May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
- Assisting students with behavioral/management needs
- Frequent evening and/or weekend work
