Position Goal
The MTSS Instructional Coach serves as a critical resource, supporting the professional
growth and development of teachers to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes. This role involves collaborating with teachers and administrators to identify areas for improvement, designing and delivering targeted professional development, and providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure the effective implementation of programs and instructional strategies.

Qualifications Profile
- Valid Ohio teaching license.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to this assignment.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of successful teaching experience in K-12 education.
- Demonstrated success in improving student achievement through effective instructional practices.
- Strong knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment strategies including a deep understanding of the science of reading.
- Knowledge of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional decisions.
- Experience providing coaching or professional development to educators.

- Utilize data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in instructional practices and student achievement.
- Support the implementation of curriculum initiatives and instructional programs, ensuring alignment with educational standards and objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging reflection, collaboration, and innovation among educators.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in education to inform coaching and professional development efforts.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to coordinate efforts and maximize impact.
- Build relationships with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to create a supportive and collaborative learning community.
- Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions, professional development activities, and progress towards instructional goals.
