What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Education Instructor position at Education & Training Resources LLC?
Our Driver Education Instructor provides engaging classroom and hands-on instruction, administers tests and evaluates student progress. At the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), we have challenging projects and creative people who make a difference in the lives of at-risk young people each and every day.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet student needs
• Provide permit, pre-licensing (5-hour course), and defensive driving instruction
• Schedule written and road tests; transport students to testing sites
• Coordinate with other staff to resolve issues affecting student achievement
• Model appropriate behavior, mentor and monitor students
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time working weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, active Driver Education Instructor certification, and valid Minnesota driver’s license with acceptable driving record
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$50,000 per year plus benefits, including 12 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) with match, and medical, dental and vision insurance
