| Our Career Transition Specialists assist separating students to obtain employment, apprenticeships or advanced training; enlist in the military; enroll in college; and/or help with resources to housing, child care and transportation. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), we have creative and caring staff who make a difference in the lives of our students each and every day. |
MAIN DUTIES:
• Teach employability, resume, cover letter, interview and budgeting skills
• Attend panels and weekly meetings; take exiting students on shopping trips
• Conduct exit interviews; maintain contact with placed and not-placed students
• Work with spreadsheets, input placements and case note interactions
• Establish relationships with employers, colleges and other entities
• Create and attend job fairs
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, generally working weekdays during regular business hours
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Social or Human Services, Education, Counseling or related field (or Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience); one year of work experience in workforce development, marketing or placement; and valid Minnesota driver’s license with acceptable driving record
PAY AND BENEFITS: $43,888 per year plus bonus and benefits, including 12 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) with match, and medical, dental and vision insurance
