MAIN DUTIES:
Culinary Arts Instructors provide instruction in the Food Services training area. They promote a positive and desired atmosphere within the classroom setting to ensure a maximal student learning environment. They also demonstrate ongoing commitment to preparing students for the workforce by modeling, mentoring and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of workplace relations and ethics, information management, communications, multicultural awareness, personal growth and development, career and personal planning, interpersonal skills, and independent living.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree in Culinary Arts with Vocational Teacher Certification desired. Seven years experience in commercial or institutional food preparation or a certificate from an accredited culinary institute and two years experience as a Food Service Training Instructor required. Serv Safe Food Handler's Certificate required. Minnesota Teaching Certificate preferred. Valid Minnesota driver's license required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$50,000 per year, plus 401(k), medical, dental, vision, STA, holidays and vacation
