Primary Purpose
To support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12. The Employee Experience Specialist serves as a high-level organizational culture leader and internal consultant. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence and holistic employee engagement.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Campus Leadership Experience preferred

- Proven ability to mediate disputes and facilitate restorative conversations to maintain a positive workplace environment.
- Experience in coaching frameworks to foster the professional growth of staff, improve performance, and build leadership capacity within the department.
- Deep understanding of service models and the ability to translate external customer service standards into internal employee support.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices for developing and sustaining formal mentorship programs.
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and word processing

General Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive center-wide mentor program. This includes matching mentors/mentees, developing tracking metrics, and providing ongoing support to ensure program success.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a centerwide customer service model, ensuring that ESC Region 12’s core values are reflected in every internal and external interaction.
- Serve as a resource for conflict resolution, providing training and direct support to departments to navigate interpersonal challenges and maintain team cohesion.
- Maintain a commitment to personal professional growth, attending required training to remain a subject matter expert in employee experience and organizational development.
- Support the development and execution of a centerwide employee engagement program that addresses the holistic staff experience, including the coordination of centerwide events and wellness.
- Develop and foster "cutting-edge" thinking and innovative instructional strategies to ensure regional educators stay at the forefront of modern pedagogy.
- Design and deliver high-quality professional development utilizing best practices and research-based information for teaching and learning in grades K-12.
- Provide expert, specialized assistance to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support the implementation of district, state, and federal initiatives.
- Encourage and lead collaboration between department staff, as well as staff members across all ESC departments, other regional ESCs, and state agencies.
- Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with customer school districts to ensure the ESC is a preferred partner for educational solutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with regional and statewide partners on various projects to align efforts and advocate for regional needs.
- Implement Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives to evaluate training effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Support internal ESC 12 functions and maintain a commitment to professional growth and subject matter expertise.
