Dual Role Overview
We seek a qualified Younger Toddler Teacher & Group Supervisor to champion children during their mobility emergence and communication beginnings using evidence-based developmental methodologies, while simultaneously providing strategic leadership and staff coordination across all age groups.
Your Classroom Leadership
- Design movement-focused activities for crawlers transitioning to walking
- Facilitate language emergence through responsive communication techniques
- Create sensory-rich environments supporting gross motor development
- Build trusting relationships with mobile infants and their families
- Implement structured daily routines promoting security and growth
- Document milestone achievements and developmental observations
- Support peer interactions among newly mobile children
Strategic Operations:
- Oversee comprehensive program planning and daily operational excellence across all classrooms
- Mentor and develop classroom staff through coaching and professional guidance
- Collaborate with administration on policy development and program innovation
- Facilitate staff performance reviews and professional development planning
- Maintain regulatory compliance with all state licensing standards
Educational Quality Assurance:
- Design developmentally appropriate learning frameworks and assessment protocols for younger toddlers.
- Monitor and evaluate children's developmental achievements across all programs
- Foster strong family partnerships through individualized development planning
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and developmental record management
Leadership Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Child Psychology, or developmental sciences
Essential Leadership Skills:
- Understanding of mobility development and motor skill progression
- Proven leadership abilities and staff development experience
- Calm demeanor during toddler emotional expressions and developmental challenges
- Strong family communication and partnership abilities across all age groups
- Physical energy and enthusiasm for active, exploring children
- 40 hours weekly commitment required
- Current Pennsylvania protective clearances (FBI, State Police, Child Services)
- Current safety certifications (First Aid/CPR) or commitment to obtain
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania childcare regulations and compliance standards
- Proficiency with AI systems for developmental tracking, documentation, and staff coordination
