At Education Management Solutions (EMS), we’re looking for a Chief Financial Officer who’s excited to help shape our financial strategy, partner closely with executive leadership, and support a growing, mission-driven organization. In this role, you’ll bring financial clarity to complex decisions, help strengthen our operational foundation, and play a key role in guiding EMS through its next phase of growth—while staying connected to the day-to-day realities of the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with both short- and long-term business goals.
- Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, capital structure, and financial resources to support operational and growth needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, and drive profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations; oversee internal and external audits.
- Partner with investors, shareholders, and key stakeholders to communicate financial performance and business strategy.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and compliance matters.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as CFO or equivalent.
- Strong expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Experience working closely with executive leadership teams and Boards.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
