What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Aid Advisor position at Education Affiliates?
Position Summary: The Financial Aid Advisor is responsible for aiding in the creation of our student's financial plans; projecting estimated funds for financial coverage of student's total cost of program. The Financial Aid Advisor also is responsible for assisting students to correctly complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) when needed. Properly maintains electronic files; collecting all documents required to follow and meet standards required by government and agency regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process student financial aid applications, including verification of financial information and calculation of need-based aid eligibility.
- Award, adjust, and administer federal, state, and institutional grants, loans, and scholarship funds in accordance with governing regulations and policies.
- Provide counseling to students and families regarding financial aid options, application procedures, and eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate with admissions, registrar, and business offices to ensure seamless integration of financial aid awards with student accounts and enrollment status.
- Performs need analysis and financial aid packaging in Campus Vue.
- Performs data entry and file maintenance on the Campus Vue, and NSLDS data management systems.
- Maintain accurate electronic student financial aid records, ensuring compliance with federal and state privacy laws, via SoftDocs/Etrieve.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid and/or Campus President.

- Bachelor's degree preferred.
