Vice President of Nursing, 100% Remote with travel
Position Summary:
The Vice President of Nursing provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership for the Nursing Programs taught at Education Affiliates’ campuses. The VP of Nursing ensures excellence in nursing education, program accreditation, faculty development, student success, and alignment with institutional goals. As a senior member of Academic Affairs, the VP of Nursing partners with other academic leaders to support the success and collegiality of academic teams across campuses and within Academic Affairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the creation and implementation of the strategic plan for nursing education; leads efforts to continuously improve curriculum, teaching, and student outcomes.
- Provides leadership to enhance Education Affiliates' national nursing reputation.
- Leads the Shared Services nursing team and supports local recruitment and development, Deans and Faculty of Nursing.
- Guides campus efforts related to faculty scholarship, professional development, and excellence in teaching.
- Provides strategic guidance to campus leaders to improve retention and licensure exam (NCLEX) outcomes.
- Articulates, models, and supports an organizational culture of collegiality and ethical standards that embraces the mission and core values of Education Affiliates
- Promotes innovative teaching methods, simulation technologies, and evidence-based practice.
- Supports regulatory and accreditation compliance of nursing programs, including Boards of Nursing and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing; assists the campuses with preparing reports, managing site visits, and ensuring ongoing compliance with academic and clinical standards.
- Leads efforts to ensure campuses maintain compliance with clinical partners and that clinical placements are aligned with student and program needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field; master’s in nursing required if doctorate is not in nursing.
- Must have a current license in one of the States where Education Affiliates has nursing programs as a registered nurse.
- A record of teaching, research, and academic nursing leadership.
- Demonstrated academic and administrative expertise with a minimum of eight years of experience, preferably with large and complex nursing education organizations.
- Proven record of accreditation management and faculty development.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills.
