Senior Maintenance Technician

Our client, a family-owned, locally operated, multi-faceted real estate development, brokerage, construction, and property management firm is seeking to hire a Senior Maintenance Technician (Level II or Level III). This is a direct hire (full-time) position that will pay $24-$27 /hour based on relevant experience and include full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401-K, PTO). Hours for these positions are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. We have two positions available in Brookfield, WI.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician who has a strong background in troubleshooting on-site service calls in a large apartment complex or commercial settings. Qualified candidates will have experience with all the basic hand tools, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, basic plumbing, HAVC maintenance and repair as well as a professional demeanor.

The Maintenance Technician will:

Diagnose, perform minor repairs and routine maintenance as directed, to include but not limited to the following:

• HVAC – Heating Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems
• Electrical – replace/repair outlets, rewire fans, light fixtures, etc.
• Plumbing – replace or fix broken/leaky pipes, toilets, sinks, traps, & irrigation systems.
• Boilers (both gas & electric) as well as water irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair common appliances – refrigerator, dryer, washer, stove/oven, etc.
• Perform light carpentry duties including hanging doors, cabinets, countertops, drywall, painting, tiling, and flooring.
• Oversee pool and spa area.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, make-ready status and work in progress status.
• Inspect and coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
• Report all major repairs, requisition supplies and/or services necessary to complete task.
• Change locks and make keys.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in property maintenance in a large apartment complex or commercial setting.
• 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, light electrical, and carpentry issues inside a large apartment complex environment.
• EPA Certification preferred, but not required.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Good organizational and communication skills, able to work well with all levels of the company.
• Able to work alone, prioritize, and adhere to a schedule.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of cleaning fluids and tools.
• Possess a valid driver's license and insurance.
