ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician- NIGHTS to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Kenosha, WI. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled industrial electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical systems, automation equipment, PLCs, and production machinery while helping maximize equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining critical production operations. Schedule is 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off Continuous Shift.
Responsibilites:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and industrial production equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, industrial controls, automation systems, motors, sensors, conveyors, and production equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor control centers (MCCs), switchgear, electrical panels, switches, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Support troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment and production line control systems.
- Maintain and update electrical drawings, PLC programs, maintenance documentation, and equipment records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing safety, equipment reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain electrical spare parts inventory and recommend replacement components as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with electrical codes, company policies, and safe work practices.
Must Have Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Trade school certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, PLC Technician, Controls Technician, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), industrial controls, and automation systems.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience working with AC/DC circuits, 4–20mA instrumentation circuits, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), and electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
- Basic computer skills.
- Confined space qualified or ability to obtain certification.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs using RSLogix, Studio 5000, or FactoryTalk software.
- Experience supporting industrial automation, process controls, and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Experience maintaining conveyors, packaging equipment, or material handling systems.
- Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
