- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Provide specialized instruction in one-on-one and small group settings
- Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year
- Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
- Active state-level licensure or certification (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Work in a structured, school-based setting with built-in school holidays
