Overview
We have immediate opening for a Platform Team Lead for Enterprise Infrastructure Services responsible for assisting U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in execution of architecture engineering support for USCIS’ enterprise infrastructure program. Candidate will architect and develop platform-based solutions establishing throughput and setting baselines for acceptable performances standards.
Responsibilities
· Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge.
· May supervise others. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
· Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
· The Platform Team Lead will lead the team of engineers that support the Enterprise Platform Services architecture and provision IT enterprise platforms that aggregate network infrastructure cloud and applications integrating tools services workflows and data used across the enterprise. Platform services and technologies factor in the strategic aspects of Government initiatives combined with overarching and overlapping business requirements.
Qualifications
· 10 years relevant platform team lead enterprise integration experience and a bachelor’s degree.
· Certification: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert has been obtained within the last five years.
· A minimum of five (5) years of experience with architecting and developing platform-based solutions, establishing throughput, and setting baselines for acceptable performances standards.
· Significant experience with managing and using DevOps concepts.
· Experience in evaluation and analysis of workloads that are running in public and private cloud environments. Expertise working with virtualization storage and enterprise backup solutions using automation technologies. Expertise working with Active Directory technologies. Expertise working with application streaming and desktop virtualization technologies.
· Experience with USCIS preferred. Experience working on Agile projects. Experience with Enterprise Integration Services. Experience with Orchestration and Automation. Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
· Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
· Ability to effectively solve problems.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
· Experience in managing multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets simultaneously.
· Ability to work onsite in Vermont.
Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verification; active USCIS background investigation preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen to be eligible for a suitability
