Position Overview
SALARY: $1,321.8/month ($25.32/hr) for a 12 hour per week schedule

DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibilities for the Event Coordinator 2 at Edmonds College¿s Black Box Theatre is to provide event support for the theatre¿s varied live events and to develop and implement an effective marketing plan for our campus and surrounding community. Event supervision duties include overseeing staff and the theatre¿s technical operations, fostering positive client and community relations, and protecting the theatre assets. Marketing duties include creating and implementing a marketing plan that generates visibility, community engagement, and increased attendance to the Black Box Theatre at Edmonds College. Marketing will include digital, social media, print, websites, developing partnerships, leveraging existing marketing initiatives, and working with the Edmonds College marketing department. The position requires flexible evening and weekend hours related to BBT events and the college¿s quarterly academic schedules; maximum of 12 hours per week. This is a part-time, permanent, salaried position, reporting to the Director of the Black Box Theatre.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
EVENT LEAD:
- Oversee and perform duties as Event Lead: supervising clients, house, box office, and concessions.
- Oversee preparation and execution of technical production elements for events.
- Manage artist and client relationships.
- Assist with cleaning and preparation of space for events.
- Serve as safety and security for the theatre and its adjacent spaces while events are in progress.
- Maintain ticket sales site and provide check in for events.
- Train and supervise students for events.
- Collect data and organize data for events.
- Supervise concessions (staff, organize, restock) as needed.
- Attend Seminars and trainings related to position.
- Other duties as assigned by BBT Director as needed for college and student
MARKETING:
- Prepare and design quarterly event programming slideshow and posters.
- Post upcoming events on news/magazine website community calendars.
- Program Events and Rentals on Trumba.
- Distribute posters and flyers to the community for upcoming productions.
- Maintain social media pages (Facebook & Instagram.)
- Take promotional photos and create promotional videos for Black Box produced events.
- Mail Run.
- Deposit weekly/weekend sales.
- Respond to inquiries regarding tickets, parking, venue, etc. for events via social media, email, phone messages.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in technical theatre, event management, or audio/video services OR related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff, and community members.
- Proven track record of fostering a welcoming, supportive, and accessible environment that ensures every member of the campus community can succeed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor¿s degree with an emphasis in technical theater or events management.
- Experience in customer service or public relations.
- Experience in marketing.
