Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Scheduler to coordinate appointments, manage patient flow, and support clinical operations in a busy healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and coding procedures. As a Scheduler, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations, accurate documentation, and excellent patient service. Duties
- Maintains a current patient roster with necessary information.
- Updates master schedule in accordance with approved authorization.
- Prepares weekly schedule for field staff and provides copies of confirmation.
- Assists in coordinating services provided to patients.
- Controls and monitors schedule changes.
- Checks compliance of visits done (on master schedule) after all notes are matched to charges, and brings any scheduling problems to the supervisor's attention immediately.
- Review, verify, and reconcile visits with the Manager and on-call coordinator when requested.
- Obtains weekly visit count and report results to the Director of Nursing.
- Assists in relaying messages to field staff, office staff, and community liaisons, and gives and takes reports from the on-call coordinator.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, DON, or Administrator.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care scheduling or healthcare administrative support is required.
- Familiarity with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) systems such as HHA Exchange, Sandata, or Copilot.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are necessary for daily tasks.
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail will ensure accuracy in scheduling and documentation review. Pay: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour
