Senior Program Manager – Operations Strategy (Global Manufacturing)

Based in Columbus, Ohio or St Louis, Missouri (5 days a week on site)

This company operates a large, diversified manufacturing network and is investing heavily in innovation, resiliency, and operational excellence. As a Senior Program Manager, you will help shape and communicate the manufacturing strategy that supports these mission-critical industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global coordination of capacity plans and develop clear customer-ready messaging.
• Translate complex footprint decisions-cost, risk, technology, supply chain into compelling value propositions.
• Build and manage capacity models, scenario plans, and throughput analysis.
• Identify optimization opportunities in plant loading, utilization, staffing, and capital deployment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional teams to align on strategy.
• Support factory ramp-ups, product transfers, and global transitions with minimal customer impact.
• Use MES/ERP/capacity-modelling tools to generate insights for long-term planning.
• Champion scalable processes, digital factory concepts, manufacturability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
• 7 years in manufacturing strategy, industrial engineering, operations, or supply chain.
• Strong program management experience across global or multi-regional initiatives.
• Analytical expertise with financial modelling and capacity/simulation tools.
• Knowledge of global supply chain economics and risk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma or operational excellence background preferred.
