Edison Park Community is a locally owned apartment community in Akron looking for a dependable, hard-working General Laborer to help keep our properties clean and improve our buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, doesn't mind getting dirty, and takes pride in a job well done.
This is part-time work (approximately 10–20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule.
What You'll Do
- Clean out basements, storage areas, garages, and vacant units
- Remove trash, debris, and unwanted materials
- Perform light demolition (removing cabinets, flooring, drywall, etc.)
- Pull weeds and assist with general landscaping
- Haul materials and supplies between properties
- Help prepare apartments for renovation
- Assist maintenance technicians as needed
- Paint, clean, and complete miscellaneous property improvement projects
- Keep common areas and exterior grounds clean and presentable
- Perform other general labor tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and shows up on time
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the day
- Able to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic experience using hand tools and power tools is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and walking throughout the workday
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Ability to work in dusty, dirty, or confined spaces when cleaning basements or completing demolition projects
