Edison House is locally owned and has created a professional, comfortable, and safe environment for the Edison House community. The kitchen is headed up by Executive Chef Buzz Willey who was the owner and Executive Chef of Pallet, a downtown SLC staple for over 10 years. Edison House proudly sources its produce and meats from local distributors and continuously fosters a partnership with the community in which it operates.

Responsibilities
- Helps maintain culture goals.
- Provides training and professional development with all kitchen staff
- Attends service lineups and ensures other kitchen members attend lineups
- Assists and works closely with Executive Chef with new menu items and menu development
- Assists Exec. Chef with scheduling, ordering, inventory, overseeing kitchen codes of conduct
- Assists Exec. Chef in meeting financial targets while achieving food quality and service objectives
- Motivates and develops staff including cross training and promotion of personnel
- Undertakes special projects assigned by Executive Chef, General Manager, or Food and Bev director
- Ability to operate all operations in absent of Exec. Chef while maintaining standards
- Supervises kitchen community to ensure smooth service expectations
- Supervises and preforms continuous training with the kitchen community
- Assists with controlling maintenance with all kitchen equipment
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and specific food preparation
- Must be available to work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Chef position of a high-volume fine dining establishment, or multi-venue hotel or resort
- Mature, disciplined, committed, and flexible team member
- Ability to understand and preform well with producing documents, spreadsheets, payroll management, and point of sales systems
- Ability to oversee all functions as necessary to ensure all food is at Edison House standards
- Ability to manage ordering that maintains financial goals along with meeting the requirements of proper amounts of product required for all outlets
- Ability to manage and create scheduling that maintains efficiency and Edison House standards
- Oversee use of equipment to ensure equipment is being used properly and safely, and ability to provide training to staff as needed
- Ideal candidate for the position will have a progressive resume and aspirations of becoming an Executive Chef
