JOB SUMMARY
What: The Private Events Manager leads the Private Events team—overseeing event sales, coordination, and execution from inquiry to delivery. This is a hybrid leadership and producer role: while guiding the team and improving process efficiency, the Manager also takes ownership of large-scale events and strategic partnership events (e.g., Origin, Silicon Slopes Summit). This role ensures flawless execution, collaboration across departments, and a consistent Edison House experience for clients and members alike.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership (40%)
- Supervise and support the Private Events Specialist and Coordinator, providing leadership, training, and accountability.
- Maintain balance in team workload and ensure seamless client handoffs from Specialist to Coordinator.
- Evaluate team performance and identify process improvements for efficiency and guest experience.
- Collaborate with the Director of Growth on pricing, policies, and production strategy.
Event Sales & Strategy (30%)
- Oversee all inbound event inquiries, ensuring prompt, polished responses and proper qualification.
- Review proposals, budgets, and contracts before client presentation to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Serve as escalation point for high-profile or complex client negotiations.
- Support the Private Events Specialist during peak demand or large-volume periods.
Event Production & Execution (30%)
- Act as Executive Producer for major internal and external events such as Origin and Silicon Slopes Summit.
- Lead coordination between Edison House, partners, vendors, and talent for multi-department projects.
- Oversee setup, run-of-show, and day-of execution for select high-impact events.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between departments (Culinary, Banquets, Marketing, Membership).
- Maintain operational excellence while protecting the EH brand standard across all event types.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in event management, hospitality, or production (private club or luxury environment preferred).
- Proven leadership experience managing small teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong budget management and client service skills.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Experience producing large-scale events (multi-day or multi-venue) preferred.
- Knowledge of TripleSeat or similar event management platforms a plus.
