Looking to add a Director of Business Development - Commercial Construction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share in commercial construction.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities, clients, and market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead proposal development, including RFP responses, presentations, and client communications.
- Collaborate with estimating, operations, and executive teams to position the company for successful project pursuits.
- Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and economic conditions to guide strategic decisions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasting to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 5 years of business development or sales experience in commercial construction or a related industry.
- Established network within the Detroit area construction and real estate community (preferred).
- Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings and industry events.
