Our established, patient-focused private dental practice is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who has a strong understanding of dental insurance, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in maintaining accurate patient accounts.

Position Overview:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of dental insurance
- Claims processing
- Appeals
- Pre-treatment estimates with clear communication with patients regarding their coverage and responsibilities.
- Experience reading and understanding EOBs and posting insurance checks
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations
- Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding denials, appeals, and payment discrepancies
- Accurately enter pre-treatment estimate EOBs into Dentrix
- Provide clear, friendly communication to patients about insurance coverage, co-pays, and balances
- Coordinate with the front office team to ensure smooth scheduling and billing processes
- Accurately post dental insurance payments and patient payments
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in dental insurance billing
- Experience posting insurance payments in a dental practice is required
- Knowledge of contractual adjustments and insurance write-offs.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance terminology, PPO plans, deductibles, frequencies, downgrades, annual maximums, and coordination of benefits.
- Experience with Dentrix practice management software is a plus.
- Extremely strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team player with a professional, friendly demeanor who can interact with different personalities
- Positive attitude
- Flexible schedule - able to work 4 or 5 days per week
- Focus on providing incredible customer service willing to go above and beyond for patients
- Professional with a strong work ethic as well as dependable
