What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Dept. Public Safety Tele Communicator position at Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District?
- Monitoring Police radio transmissions for all police officers at different ECISD campus patrol
- Log all incoming radio transmissions.
- Dispatch units, (Patrol, K-9, Campus Police/Security) as needed as well as Edinburg Police or
- Responsible for answering the Police telephone main line, hot line and fax line and logging
- Review and input into computer day patrol, night patrol and campus incident reports.
- Must familiarize themselves with departmental rules and regulations and must carry out

QUALIFICATIONS:
TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED
General knowledge of radio communications skills preferred Clerical skills preferred

Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Certified Tele-communicator Operator preferred
Speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with other persons over the telephone, radio and
