What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Aide/Computer Lab position at Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District?
- completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education; or
- obtained an associate's degree; or
- met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment - knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics; or
- Maintain and ensures the effective use of the open access lab.
- Work with the Campus Technology Contact in scheduling the lab and assisting teachers in conducting computer training for class projects in the lab.
- Maintain hardware, installs software and keeps lab and equipment clean for the successful utilization of the open access lab.
- Keep staff informed of lab schedule and encourages the initiation of new computer projects.
- Assist participating teachers in the implementation and development of curriculum units with technology integration.
- Serve as a technology resource person for campus staff.
- Maintain knowledge which is current on computer training, emerging technologies and internet projects.
- Communicate with and assists the Campus Technology Support Specialist at the campus.
- Ability and willingness to observe professional and ethical work standards and handle confidential and security sensitive information.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written:); interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district computer functions; occasional prolonged and irregular hours
