Employer/Organization Description:
Edina Eye Clinic is an independent ophthalmology practice located at 50th and France in the heart of Edina. Our board-certified Ophthalmologists have vast experience in a wide range of services with special expertise in laser-assisted cataract surgery. Patients have trusted the physicians and surgeons at the Edina Eye Clinic for more than 60 years.
- We currently have an opportunity available for an ophthalmic technician/assistant to work with our ophthalmologists. We're seeking a team player with great people skills including strong written & verbal communication and attention to detail.
Duties include:
- Conducting diagnostic and pre-operative testing with the IOL Master 700, Atlas corneal topography, Humphrey visual field, Cirrus OCT testing, and Optos fundus photography.
- Informing patients of the purpose of the tests performed and how they will be affected.
- Responsible for opening and closing diagnostic testing area, maintaining equipment and rooms in working conditions.
- Timely and efficiently transferring test results into patient electronic medical records.
- Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum High school diploma. Related technical training
- Prefer COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) and a desire to learn diagnostic testing skills and equipment
- Ophthalmic diagnostic testing experience a plus
- Previous EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience; (Compulink a plus).
Hourly wage to be determined based on experience.
