Junior Product Developer to support the development and technical execution of new and current apparel collections, including repeat business, special collections, swim, sleep/loungewear, basics, intimates, and brand collaborations. This role partners closely with the Senior Product Developer to ensure seasonal products progress efficiently through development while maintaining quality standards, timeline adherence, and brand objectives. The Junior Product Developer provides essential support throughout the product development lifecycle, helping streamline processes and create a strong foundation for successful product execution.
- Support Senior Product Developer in managing daily product development activities across multiple product categories.
- Track development milestones and maintain accurate WIP reports, seasonal trackers, and product calendars to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Assist with fabric, trim, material, and product sourcing by gathering information, requesting samples, and organizing vendor submissions.
- Prepare and maintain development tech packs, including BOM’s, specs, order forms, and comments.
- Coordinate sample requests, sample tracking, and organization for fittings, reviews, photoshoots, and seasonal milestones.
- Review incoming samples for accuracy and communicate observations to Product Developers prior to fittings and approvals.
- Assist with measuring garments and documenting fit comments; experience or interest in Technical Design and garment construction is highly preferred.
- Support communication with overseas vendors by following up on sample status, development questions, and timeline updates.
- Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, Production, and Trend teams to ensure timely execution throughout the development process.
- Participate in line reviews, trend reviews, fittings, and milestone meetings while documenting action items and following through on assigned tasks.
- Maintain organized development libraries, sample archives, and seasonal product records.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Technical Design, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in apparel or accessories product development, internships included.
- Experience or strong interest in Technical Design, garment construction, and fit is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with garment construction, fabrics, trims, and print development.
- Basic understanding of product development calendars and the apparel production process.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within Product Development.
- Ability to receive and apply feedback while working in a fast-paced environment.
