Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Provide welcoming, professional, and courteous service to all guests while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ensure all drinks are served promptly and to the highest quality, while maintaining consistency.
- Ensure the correct garnishes, glassware, and accessories are used for each drink.
- Help set up and break down the bar area for banquets and events, ensuring all equipment, glassware, and supplies are stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the proper disposal of waste and empty bottles.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and offer recommendations based on individual preferences.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws related to alcohol service, including checking identification and preventing overconsumption.
- Work closely with other banquet staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations during events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a luxury resort or upscale hospitality setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail preparation, wine service, and bartending techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Bartender certification or training programs are a plus.
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
