We have established ourselves as a trusted name in the industry with our corporate headquarters in New Jersey and operations across the nation.
Ongoing construction and development plans are expected to double our current apartment portfolio of over 5,000 units to more than 10,000 units in the next five years.
We are currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Tech II to join our team at Sunrise Bay, located in Galloway Township, NJ.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the industry and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Execute maintenance requests by diagnosing problems and making repairs to maintain the physical condition of the community according to operating and safety standards.
- Ensure service requests and repairs are made in a timely manner.
Reports To:
- Sr. Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Supervisor
Essential Job Functions:
- Diagnose and perform basic repairs and maintenance in areas including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, major appliances, plumbing, carpentry, building maintenance, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, and painting/wallpaper.
- Ability to paint, spackle, clean coils, change filters, pull toilets, replace all parts, snake all sanitary systems, and handle turn responsibilities.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
- Lift certification (passable within 6 months of hire).
- Able to pass training certification in HVAC, electrical, or entry level trades for residential sites.
- Class A should be able to receive additional certification in first 24 months.
Additional Requirements:
- Participate in the Emergency On-Call rotation for the property.
- Live within 45 minutes drive of the community.
- Your schedule will be based on business needs and is subject to change at any time.
- May be asked to perform the work of a Maintenance Technician I.
