Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner 2 (Roofing Asset Manager) opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Work Location: Hybrid, 2 days week/onsite base level (can change as projects ramp up). Candidates should be within 2 hours of LANL for Hybrid schedule
Organization/Group: MSS-DATA - TA-A Canyon Complex
Schedule: 9/80s; can shift based on needs of project with lead time. On-Call and OT possible.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Clearance. Existing clearance preferred.
Summary:
The Work Control Planner 2 will be supporting the three program leads for RAMP, CHAMP, and LAMP and shall be responsible for developing and/or reviewing work packages (IWDs), including time, material, labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, safety, and testing requirements for maintenance, construction, or modification of work activities. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, or roofing equipment, policies, and procedures. May also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
The Asset Management Programs (AMPs) are a multidisciplinary group providing services to LANL with a design-build model. With this model, the vendor works in three phases: Assessment, Design, and construction/repair/replacement of major building systems that are common across the NNSA enterprise (e.g., roofs, electrical, cooling & heating). The AMP group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner.
Develops and/or reviews work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area. Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures, and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience without a degree.
- Ability to climb ladders, be on roofs, walk on different terrains, and construction sites.
- Planning experience (technical step writing).
- Construction experience.
- Software required: MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
