Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner 3 opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Work Location: 100% Onsite - TA 50-9002
Organization/Group: MSS-WC
Schedule: 4/10 schedule
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Clearance. Active clearance preferred.
Summary
The Work Control Planner develops and/or reviews work packages including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area.
Duties
Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures, and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
Education
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications
- PPA certification (Policy Procedure Writer)
- Certified Facility Manager (preferred)
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
- Building systems expertise boilers, HVACs Facility system/Facility support system
- Maintenance/or construction background (facility maintenance)
- Procedure writing and development
- Work Control background (in manager or planner roles)
- Performing outdoor walk-throughs and climb fixed ladders.
