Steakhouse Bartender - Edgewater Dining - Idaho Based, Steak Driven.
At Edgewater Dining we are seeking an experienced, personable Steakhouse Bartender to deliver attentive beverage service in an upscale, fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate has strong cocktail, wine, and spirits knowledge, takes pride in presentation, and creates memorable guest experiences through thoughtful recommendations and genuine hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Welcome guests, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, professional service throughout their visit.
- Recommend cocktails, spirits, and wines that complement steakhouse menu items and match guest preferences.
- Verify identification, follow legal drinking-age requirements, and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Monitor guest consumption and appropriately refuse or discontinue alcohol service when necessary.
- Enter orders, process payments, and manage guest checks accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Coordinate with servers, barbacks, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure timely beverage and food service.
- Prepare garnishes, mixers, syrups, and other bar ingredients before and during service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Monitor inventory, rotate products, minimize waste, and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, cash reconciliation, and inventory checks.
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, workplace-safety, and alcohol-service regulations.
- Assist with private dining, special events, and other restaurant duties as needed.
Qualifications
- At least two years of bartending experience preferred; upscale restaurant or steakhouse experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, premium spirits, beer, and wine.
- Familiarity with wine service, steak and beverage pairings, glassware, garnishing, and proper pouring techniques.
- Excellent communication, hospitality, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm, accurate, and professional during high-volume service.
- Experience using restaurant point-of-sale systems and processing cash and credit-card transactions.
- Current responsible beverage-service and food-handler certifications, as required by local law.
- Must meet the minimum legal age required to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry bar supplies, beverage cases, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around glassware, cleaning products, hot surfaces, and crowded service areas.

Pay: $7.75 - $10.00 per hour
