Quality Technician II

Edgestone Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Technician II for a leading manufacturing client located in Danvers, MA. This is a first shift, full-time, non-exempt position supporting quality and compliance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Quality Technician II plays a key role within the Quality and Compliance team, ensuring that products and processes meet internal quality standards as well as external regulatory requirements. This role supports compliance initiatives across global regulatory frameworks and collaborates closely with production, engineering, procurement, and regulatory affairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure product and material compliance with international regulatory standards, including:
  • REACH, RoHS, PFAS, Proposition 65, EPA TSCA
  • CMRT/EMRT (Conflict Minerals) reporting
  • EU/UK/Russia sanctions compliance
  • CE, UKCA, UL, and CSA certification and labeling requirements
  • Perform regulatory documentation reviews, internal audits, and complete product declarations for customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to maintain compliance throughout the supply chain.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for material traceability and regulatory documentation (SDSs, declarations of conformity, technical files, etc.).
  • Support internal audits and assist in preparation for external audits and inspections.
  • Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and compliance documents to support quality inspections.
  • Conduct product inspections and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for compliance or quality issues.
  • Provide training to team members on regulatory topics and quality procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and documentation control processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory standards (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, CE, UL, etc.).
  • Experience with environmental/material compliance databases and supplier declarations.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and compliance documents.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and independently managing compliance tasks.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); ERP/PLM systems a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with third-party testing/certification (UL, CSA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience in electronics, machining, or precision manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with international trade compliance and product safety standards.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
