Job Summary
We are seeking a Final Processing Specialist to join our Operations team. This hands-on manufacturing position is responsible for the final finishing, inspection preparation, and packaging of plated and anodized parts before they are shipped to customers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable performing precision work in a manufacturing environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring finished parts meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed finishing of plated and anodized parts according to customer specifications, prints, and job card requirements.
- Clean and cosmetically detail parts by removing residue, staining, smut, and minor imperfections.
- Inspect finished parts for cosmetic quality and surface condition before final QC inspection.
- Work closely with Quality Control to ensure parts are ready for final inspection.
- Accurately package completed orders according to job card and customer-specific packaging requirements.
- Verify part quantities, identification, and required documentation.
- Remove masking materials without damaging coatings, threads, or critical surfaces.
- Perform blasting operations when required.
- Safely move parts and orders throughout the shop to maintain production flow.
- Assist other departments as needed based on workload and production priorities.
- Maintain accurate job card and final processing documentation.
- Follow all safety, quality, and handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cosmetic and surface defects.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and follow customer specifications, work instructions, prints, and job cards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle parts and materials.
- Dependable and safety-conscious.
- 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20.
- Previous manufacturing, plating, anodizing, finishing, inspection, or packaging experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Nadcap requirements is a plus.
