Extrusion Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift

• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Schedule: Days off vary by shift and will be discussed during the interview process.

Manufacturing Workweek: Sunday night at 12:00 AM (Monday morning) through Friday night at 12:30 AM (Saturday morning).

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable Extrusion Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot extrusion equipment used to produce high-quality plastic products. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machines by installing dies and loading raw materials.
• Adjust machine settings, including temperatures, pressures, and screw speeds.
• Monitor production to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished products using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment and material issues to minimize downtime and reduce scrap.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dies, filters, and cooling systems.
• Complete production and maintenance logs accurately.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade school training is a plus.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing or plastics experience preferred.
• Experience operating extrusion equipment is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
