Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management
- Maintain a comprehensive list of all projects across telecommunications portfolios and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Track financial performance across the portfolio to ensure targets are met.
- Resource & Forecasting
- Monitor the Power BI resource dashboard and report on forecasting and resource allocation.
- Process & Tool Development
- Design and implement tools for tracking schedules, materials, costs, and IT change tickets.
- Provide direction and oversight to ensure Project Coordinators accurately maintain these tools.
- Reporting & Communication
- Deliver regular updates to telecommunications management on overall portfolio health, success metrics, and potential issues.
- Risk Management
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks or obstacles to maintain delivery timelines and quality.
Basic or Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Requires (10) years of Project Controls or Project Management related experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with project stakeholders and upper management.
- Requires a basic working knowledge of project management software, specifically Primavera P6, Power BI, and Excel.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and determine priorities.
- Must be a skilled writer.
- Must understand the basic principles of project management.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements
- Requires a general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control.
- Candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to work location.Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must provide a cover letter regarding intentions to relocate to be considered.
- Must have a high degree of computer literacy.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior cost control experience preferred.
- Proven experience in program or portfolio management within telecommunications or a related field.
- Work is conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) on an active construction site.
- Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or construction atmosphere
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel
- Working plant, construction, and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry 5 pounds
