Position: Activities Assistant (Part-time)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Approx 20 hours per week)

Eden Vista Barrington is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a warm and supportive environment. Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and value of approaches in the medical record. Your main responsibility will be to provide our residents with meaningful daily activities that engage our residents while having fun and having an upbeat and positive attitude.

Job functions will include:

• Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and emotional needs of our residents
• Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
• Help design programs to encourage socialization
• Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
• Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
• Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
