The firm's debt finance team is one of the most active and highly regarded in the market, advising leading sponsors, borrowers, and lenders on complex financing transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors. The group handles significant, high-profile mandates and offers unparalleled deal flow, direct client access, and a clear trajectory for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise sponsors, borrowers, and lenders on a broad range of debt financing transactions, including:
- Project finance and development finance for energy and infrastructure assets
- Acquisition financing and leveraged finance for sponsor-backed transactions
- Construction and term loan facilities
- Syndicated and club credit facilities
- Holdco and opco financing structures
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, and related financing documentation
- Advise on financing structures across the energy transition, renewables, power, midstream, and broader infrastructure sectors
- Coordinate with internal practice groups including tax, regulatory, real estate, and corporate teams
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and lenders throughout deal execution
- Supervise and mentor junior associates on transactions
Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant debt finance experience at a top-tier law firm
- Strong experience in project finance, leveraged finance, or energy and infrastructure finance preferred
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills across core finance documentation
- Commercially minded with the ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions
- Strong academic credentials and attention to detail
- Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility for admission)
