Eden Home Health is hiring a Home Health Scheduler to support our administrative office in Tukwila, WA . This position assists with coordination of scheduling patient care.

Job Summary

• Coordinates patient scheduling and guarantees patient satisfaction by creating consistency and continuity with the patient’s schedules;
• Notifies Clinical Manager when verbal orders are needed for Start of Care visits that are outside of the 48-hour window
• Guarantees patient and clinician satisfaction by creating consistency within the patient's schedules
• Receives requests for service and scheduling changes and maintains patient and resource calendar
• Reports potential staffing needs and performance issues related to the availability of Agency staff to Clinical Manager as needed
• Notifies the VSO Intake Department of additional payer authorizations for continued services prior to visits scheduled
• Notifies Primary Care Providers and enters clinical note in the electronic medical record of missed visits per protocol
• Documents communication with patients, families, or caregivers in the electronic medical record via clinical notes
• Provides backup to other Eden team members as assigned;
• Participates in information management and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) activities;
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned
  
  

Education/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• General clerical, data entry and excellent organizational skills
• Healthcare experience preferred. Medical terminology desired.
• EHR medical record documentation experience preferred
• Able to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
• Working knowledge of computer software programs
• Able to pass criminal background check and national sex offender clearance
• Must be able to physically report to administrative office for entire shift. This is not a remote position.
