Operations Department
Position : Quality Associate
Reports to : Twin Ash General Manager
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Adhere to all Twin Ash Farms Food and Safety requirements including :
SQF guidelines
HARPC PlanUSDA Organic ProtocolsEden Foods and Twin Ash Farms ProtocolsStandard Operating Procedures / Standard Sanitation Operating ProceduresAssist General Manager with the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System, including food safety fundamentals and the food safety planTake appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System with support.Clean and sanitize office equipment, lab equipment, and facilities as required / assignedConduct quality assessment of inbound, processed, and outbound commodityNote all quality assessments on quality control monitoring forms
Document composite sample results on Certificate of Analysis (COA)File and email COA forms as required by buyerStore commodity samples in secured totes after labelingConduct sensory, quality, and GMO testingAssist with organizing buyer, farmer, and food safety filesAssist with inbound, outbound, and processing proceduresOrganize and track inbound, outbound and retention samplesCheck glass and brittle plastic inventoryAssist with document control and electronic file managementAssist with inventory and organization of pallets, bags, totes, or processing supplies as neededComplete or have completed a HACCP / HARPC-based training course and a PCQI course :Maintain HARPC-based food safety plans
Understand the SQF Code Level 2 and the requirements to implement and maintain SQF System relevant to the supplier scope of certification.Assist with recall and hold proceduresNote all monthly SQF updates and conduct internal audits per managementAssist with training documentation as assigned by managementAct as the SQF practitioner or SQF substitute as required by managementAttend training and complete other duties as assignedJob Requirements :
