- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with English Language Proficiency (ELP) standards.
- Create a positive learning environment that is supportive and safe for all learners
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage learners and develop sound foundational skills and transferable speaking & literacy skills
- Sensitive to the needs of adult learners ages 18
- Knowledge of a wide variety of strategies and linguistic supports to support instruction
- Ability to use classroom technology such as a laptop, projector, and interactive board to enhance instruction
- CT Certification #088 (Non-English Speaking Adults) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master's degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people from many different backgrounds and cultures
- Experience teaching adult learners who speak multiple languages
- Attuned to the specific learning needs of adult students.

Job Description: EdAdvance Adult Education is seeking a qualified applicant to teach Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies content to adult learners to prepare them to take the GED® subject area tests.Major Responsibilities:
