Experienced Automotive Title Clerk

Ed Morse is currently seeking a Title Clerk to join our team!

Responsibilities

This individual will primarily be responsible for handling information regarding motor vehicle registration and process legal documents and other state-required documents. Organized, detail-oriented individual required with previous titling experience preferred.

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles or from receiving dealership.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Process payments made to titling agencies.
• Process duplicate title requests in Missouri and additional states, as necessary.
• Make lien payoffs
• Post car deals
• Post F & I products sold
• Process end of month payments
• Process vehicle state reports
• Record and maintain new and used inventory in Dealer Management System
• Other tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDK experience preferred
• Title work experience preferred
• Familiarity with DMV rules and requirements
• Knowledge of loan origination functions mandatory
• Knowledge of State Tax Codes
• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers as well as employees
• Must successfully complete a background and drug screening
